MONTHLY DATA LIMIT BLUES
Listen they’re talking in capitals, nevermind whom
Usually on my computer, it gives me a headache, but I try to look
Once in the morning for any and every development, today’s conversation:
The things we’ve yet to learn about the things that yesterday
We had to wait to learn tomorrow
Working until late, I’ve barely caught up with today
and I feel several weeks behind
If it paid to be informed, I would still be overdrawn
Most of the time I care a lot or not at all
And I feel guilty if I don’t, lack conviction when I do
There was a protest on Saturday, I followed the report
And read of others elsewhere too while I was sitting in my room trying to write
Something political, how difficult it is to strike a chord
When you’re worried that the neighbours might complain about the noise
Working until late
You’ve got to give yourself a break
